Thanks for the info on All Seeing Eye. Looks a bit packed full of stuff, but I'm sure I'll manage. The link supplied was being all wacky, so I recomend to anyone trying to dl it to try download.com as well. Thanks again, stupid lobby was driving me crazy :)

i just have to say: the all-seeing-eye SUCKS for soldat.

yes, it's up all the time (unlike the lobby), BUT:

-no realmode filter (instead, for each serv you have to click once and look through the stats to see if realistic =0 or =1.. RGH!)

-no "bots" filter (instead, for each serv you have to click once and scan through the list of players looking for lots of 0-pings and/or bot names)


my point is: the ASE is okay to tide me over until the lobby is back up, but it is IN NO WAY as good as the lobby, and i really hope the lobby isn't shut down altogether (in favour of ASE) as that would really, really suck.

i cant see any games on the main server what should i do and that eye thing is crap theres hardly any servers

Some people cannot use the lobby at the moment.

As an alternateive, use ASE.

ok

go into config.exe (Soldat Setup)

Then go into Network

And make sure that the "Never forward clients (firewall with ports open)" setting is NOT ticked.
And make sure that the "Register server with All-Seeing Eye (ASE)" setting IS ticked.

After that, when you start Soldat up, go into the options menu, and make sure that it is set to "register with lobby server".

Then, if someone that wants to join your game, they can just join it from the lobby. Unless that doesn't work for them. Then you're outta options :P

My computer couldnt detect the lobby server, but after using the all seein eye, ive been playin online all the time!
