aye, that's what I needed. I was going to do it in mIRC, but this does the job well too :)

However.. I have some improvements:


Checkbox "Close DDPlayer after opening Soldat"
DDplayer closes itself after clicking on Play
The file dropdown field should be a list, maybe parallel to the settings box
The yes/no fields should be radio buttons

Nothing big, but it'd make this tool even better :P

Yeah, can someone PLEASE tell me how to extract them to BMPs! I've read the manual but I still can't get it to work

why? Start demo with a parameter -extract and she extract in BMP files (directory - soldat\Demos\Extracted\). It is necessary for creation of
films by the programs : Bmp2Avi, VirtualDub...

It's a great program...All I suggest is a prettier interface, and a nicer icon. It could look a little more professional. It looks great, but that's the only place for improvement. It has as many options as possible with the parameters you have to work with.

Ok, I thought a bit, and I have two suggestions:

First, I believe it would be GREAT if you could rename demos in the program itself. You can select it from the list and maybe click a button next to the file that says "rename".

The second is you should make it so that files can be read without having the .sdm extension. I renamed a few files, and then I had to go back and rename them again with the .sdm extension...if there's nothing else to really be done, that would be a great something to make this perfect! :D

There's a problem with renaming the demos. You can't view demos via commandline if they have spaces in their name.

Maybe a simple Soldat.exe -demo "demo name with quotes" would work, should try it some time :)
anyway, manually typing the demo in the IP field works fine.
