get map edit pro 2, it makes the thing lots easier to do

It does look nice, BUT it's exactly what you're NOT supposed to do according to Michal (it's in the map maker manual):

I prefer medium-to-non-shaded maps over the style you posted above, simply because they usually are made to look good, without concentrating on the gameplay(/bugs).

i prefer the maps where yer not looking at the scenery, because your busy killing. ive used this technique, but it often creates small holes yer soldat gets stuck in. michal's way is better, and can still be shaded(although it's harder to make circles his way)

I found map edit pro 1.2 (sry, rong ver. no) at selfkill, and i think it is in our fan apps section

Considering the fact that SML is down and has been for months making these threads completely ineffectual, perhaps we should unstickify both of them (This one and Quick Mapping Tutorial #2-Lines and Quick Shading.)

I'll try to make a replacement tutorial tomorrow until SML gets back on it's feet.

thanks for the tutorial. i been practicing with with 6 waypoints and i figured out that fly left works than fly up left for a waypoint.

Fly+left is better than fly+up+left of course...
