I made this to replace the SML tutorials that don't work...those should probably be unstickied and, if you guys think that this one is good enough, this one should be put up there instead. When SML starts working again they can smash this one to bits.

I would really like your feedback because I'm considering expanding this tutorial so that it covers all aspects of mapmaking.

Very nice work. The only things that I can suggest are a little more detail on the usage of the lighten\darken vertices tools, and possibly including how to use the PaintColor tool in Map Maker Plus, which is extremely handy.

And that ColorPic program is very useful ;)

Oh and just one other thing, if polygons don't match up properly, instead of fiddling with the colors to make them match, I just change the polygons so they all connect properly. That way you never get shading bugs.

I think expanding this tutorial would be very helpful to a lot of people.

the sml tutorial is still online, and as for the fate of SML, I'm not sure about that

lol, bumpage.
Anyways, nice work.
Ya don't suppose you could get all of the map-making in here (for example, Waypointing)?

There are already waypointing tutorials out there. I don't trust that you can learn waypointing except through experience, though. It's too unpredictable to make a coherent tut around it.
