I want to host a server but don't know how many players I can host with my connection, I've a 800k/s download and 80k/s upload speed
What's the max player number you think for my server to play in great conditions ping?

I would say about 12 players if they where all on DSL or more. Dialup users might have some trouble though.

so with my 80kbps upstream I can handle lots of players^^

if you are on cable, which i'll guess you are, be careful if you run the server fulltime... a lot of cable providers dont like constant bandwidth and they can get pretty ticked if you run a server like this all of the time. A 10-12 slot server will use 50-80gb of bandwidth per month
