are you ready for Island Wars? sure you are!!!
i tried to make the palm tree in the middle as good as i could. hope you like it. i would have done more shading and stuff but i ran out of poligons [:-weepn]! full bot support is (of course [:D]) included. on the whole there is nothing to say about the map. so get over it! i must say i like it very much my self [^]!

EDIT: i've fixed some bugs found on the map. now it's realy smooth and cool to play! enjoy!

Really fun with a lot of people! The tree is cool too. The way you made underwater look was good too. I guess you were going for the non-realistic approach this time, because the map reminded me of a worms level a bit, with the big tree and all. The only thing I didnt like was the texture you used, and sometimes, I got stuck in the giant tree trunk 8|. I would give it a 8/10, nice map.

Yea, like, when I was flying thru it, I would get those sparks and that annoying sound, and my guy would stop for like 3 seconds and then continue on thru it. It only happened once...

Well I usually don't play DM maps, but I have to say that this one is great and I keep on repeating it [8D]! The shading is cool and I like that you can play Jesus walking on water [:D]. Talking of which it (not the Jesus... the water) looks good. I found few polygon bugs... Check the screen below to see where.

Hmmm... Seems like I just screwed up the screen thing [xx(]... Well it works and that's all that matters. Green arrows show where I got inside the polygons.

first of all thanks for the good comments though! i'm glad you people like it!
and... yeah i know bout these poligon holes. it's because i made the isle with map maker pro which makes a lot of poligon holes. the rest of the level is made with the original map maker so there should be no holes in it. i can do nothing about it - it would mean making the whole island once again and i ain't got the nerves for that.
what about waypoints? any bugs?

oh and i've got two more questions:
1. do you think i'd had a chance in this map maker contest?
2. where is pitcairn island? [:)]

This map is great. I think I will review this some time. Probably not right now, but I will later. My next map.

ALSO- I need staff, people to review maps and what-not. So if anyone could download this map and write a short review? I need something like this:

Answers to your questions Killa:

1) Yes... And if I were you I would also think about joining the SMG...
2) I have no clue... I'm actually a Finnish guy living in Poland so I thought that it's not fair to put neither of those country's as my country... Pitcairn Islands sounded cool... But I have thought of moving to other islands... There... I just moved [:D].

Hey Killa. Really nice map, really nice.

Because soldat doesn't work with connected polygon dont use them where players can walk on them. You can add fixing polygons (wich way I show in help) or disconnect polygons and move them little, so they little cross each others.

Also, you may want use "delete texture" button in water. [IMAGE] tip.jpg56.78 KB

meitzi: thx! yes! i'll delete the texture! looks much more better i think... still, i'll let the texture of the under water part of the island. look stylish! and i'll think about fixin the poligon sh|t by moving the poligons a bit. and then i'm gonna submit the map to the map contest thingy. i hope i'll get a good ranking! so wish me luck because that will be the first time that submit something to a contest on the net...

yeah that's exactly what i though, too. if i had more of them i would have shaded EVERYTHING. maybe i even would have done some nice light fx.. who knows? who cares? it's just the way it is....
