I've heard of overclocking to 9 GHz on a P3 or Celeron- can't remember which though.

Hmm, I have a 433 celeron, 128 mb ram, 8 mb onboard video chip.

I get crappy fps all the time.

haha thats how i was i have a 533 celeron 512 mb sd ram and i had a 8 mb onboard video card.

then i bought a 64 mb pci video card and i went from 19 fps to 60 ^_^

Fps does NOT affect negatively.

My fps sometimes peaks over 1200 fps. [:P]

i have an athlon 1.6ghz, 64mb radeon 9000, and 512 mb of ram, and the game averages at about, say.... 20fps. i cant find out what the real fps is because the ingame text is gibberish. im using wine20031212 (i bet not many people on this forum know what that means ;) )

me has about 200-250 frames

i would be also satisfied with constant 100 ^^
