o ye of ignorance, i think hong kong used to be part of china, but then the chinese gave it to the british for a reason i cant remember, and then hong kong got independance from the british and so now they're separate

actually, as a man coming from Hong Kong to Canada, I will explain this. (even tho it is off topic)

Hong Kong used to be part of China, but then china lose some battle or some [:-censored] and gave it to the british. then come along year 2000, which is the year that Hong Kong get to be part of China again. And it had a whole new system like government and etc.
