is anyone having a more difficult time than you thought you would geting used to teh m79 or is it jsut me?

the m79 is hard as now, im having a very difficult time getting used to it

it takes some getting used to since it's pretty much back to the 1.0.5b m79, but once you get the hang of it, you're really gonna love it

hell, im having the easiest time ever getting used to it, since...i havent used it since 1.05b,
well besides when picking it up, or just every coupla months or so, so its pretty much teh easy for moi!

hell yeah, it is difficult, good for me that my frags not only depends in my AIM with m79

and, is it as 1.0.5? i dont remember it that way, but i havent played in a LONG time(i supose you, morpheus, has)

..one thing i've noticed...nearly everyone seems to be using the m79 in DM, and with fair results. Whether out of momentary curiousity or fandom I can't say....

I tried it, but figured I would get better results with deagles; so I still use them.

Well Chakra, in DM most people I've seen were using autos
m79 is very good now and requires a lot of skills, especially against auto user

im not having much trouble

I've been using the m79 a lot more since 1.2 came out but I think it's just a phase...

is it just me, or are people creating random threads just to whore some posts?

no.

in 1.1.5, m79 was challanging gun, when you had to 'feel' the shot, and guess/calculate the enemy next move (espacilly in m79 duels).

in 1.2 its disgusting. too easy to kill with. its a 70% straight line. close range shots sucks bad.

I think the m79 is PERFECT right now. Leave it be. :)

I don't know why, but I prefered the 1.1.5 m79

I thought it was far more fun to have to deal with a huge arc. It was even more 'in your face' to other people to get fragged by an imossibly perfect shot from you...now it's just so easy to aim, and the nade is even faster...

On another note!!!!

Does anyone else just love the new chainsaw? I just LOVE IT!!! with good timing, you can get multi-kills x3 or x4 in like half a second. It's freaking hilarious! And those chainsaw fights in the tunnel of CTF_run are really spiced up by the boosted power of the chainsaw.

i mostly use m79 now, its hard to master, but some games im really "in the zone" and every shot hits, then the next game i miss soldiers running up to me from an inch away :/

yeah, it's really so much like 1.05b. Michal adds jumping and its already like 1.05b, which was tottaly different.

I never got used to the 1.1.5 M79.. so the current M79 isn't that hard for me :)

i must say i liked the 1.1.5 m79 it really didn't need any imporvement, one thing it seemed more fun i could do really cool "trick" shots, and like someone else said before you had to "feel" the shots out, im sure once i get used to it i will be able to feel the shots out but i don't think it will have its former glory

I definately have to say that the m79 is easier to use in 1.2 than 115. Straight shots don't seem to matter that much though when you rely more on the arc..

It WAS way better in 1.1.5 than it is in 1.2.

Sometimes it makes a rediculously random shot.

And man, so many shots that hit are blanks now :S

Either way it's crap how it's affected by the momentum of the player now.

Take it back to how it was in 1.1.5 pls. It was fine there (perhaps slightly more range).




Also another m79 problem...

It has one of the slowest kill rates of all the weapons now.

Even if every shot u make hits and kills someone, you'll still lose (providing you're not playin noobs) because someone with an mp5 can get so many more kills so much quicker.

I agree there, the mp5 is a devastating weapon now. As is the Desert Eagle. But my happiest surprise is the knife.

Me and 3 buddies we practiced together for like 2 hours with knives only, throwing them like mad, and then we asked 3 of our friends to take on us with any gun they liked against us and our knives. We pwned! Hahahahaha!
