Hey, I thought it would be nice - as wine can now operate soldat to a degree.. those of us who have it could work out a way to make it work a little less painlessly. The common bug is displaying of wrong fonts. In the game, it displays numbers backwards and letters as different random letters which also are backwards.
Has anyone found any way to fix this problem? With this fixed soldat would be just as playable for me as any windows computer as I can play online and offline with no problem.

Also, if this was something that could be fixed with a minor adjust to coding.. the dev'ers ( I think ) would gain a tremendous amount of support from the linux community.

Thanks,

What has that got to do with wine?

It's good to hear that it can be played in Linux now (to a degree...), one of the main things which has stopped me running linux on my main PC is that I couldn't play Soldat :D

yeah, I agree and now that it IS playable we should really be all working to make it alot better for Linux. So all those who are running need to pool the effort.
I have tried replacing the .tff font files in the soldat directory with X11 files and also changing fonts in the $home/.wine/config file but I can't yet get it to work.
