while playing the last time, i got some great, but easy to realize, improvments for Soldat.
- the smallest and easiest change would be a smoking barrel of the overheating stationary gun.
- another suggestion for the stationary gun would be limited ammo, so you have to reload after 50-100 shots.
- rebounding shots from some materials (maybe only in realistic mode) - that would need to assign materials to the map polygons.
- the most difficult change i think are moving/destroyable objects.
for example doors or elevators as moving objects,
crates, oil barrels or even mines as destroyable (and exploding) objects,
or perhaps a combination of both: doors that can be blown up or crates that can be pushed around.
