Today I was browsing Gamespot.com and look at what I found at the first page:

Too bad the game was listed as shareware.
The installer is available for download but as you see in the image I uploaded, they made it like as if it was a simple demo(nstration) of the game.

Soldat deserves an 8.5 at least.

Hm... 6.7 is far too low, for sure. but now that I saw it on gamespot in the description, and the description on soldat.pl, i wonder: wtf has Soldat to do with Worms? Gameplay? No. Style? No. Controls? No. Graphics? No. Just the little fact that both are 2D, but there are so many more soldat-like 2D games... so tell me, what has Soldat to do with Worms?
And in the Soldat Forum on gamespot.com (1 post) i found this sentence in the single post:
"You wouldn't beleive it, but these little characters you control are actually 3d models." Really? They are?

Well lets face it...it's not all that friendly of a game to get into. Easy learning curve, maybe, but it's a tough 'ole game :|

I think that the low score from the readers is somewhat expected.
Gamespot is a huge site mainly dedicated to the big game industry releases.

The average Gamespot member is interested in cutting edge 3D games, not a freeware-fun-small-download-time game. They will surely try to compare Soldat to other big games and this is why Soldat ends up being under rated.

Bad for them... they don't know what they're missing!

I have rated Soldat on Gamespot. Now it is 7.3 [:D], but it should be 9 IMO.

Lol why is it a demo?

it's not a demo, but it's not a full game, too. it's more likely shareware. you can play it for free, but you get a message "register please" everytime you play it, too. so i think this counts to "shareware". but because it's a game, it's not shareware, but a demo ;)
