My problem, while not new, is odd. I didn't find anything upon a search of the forums so I figured I'd explain my problem.

I just got a new computer. On the old one I could host games perfectly fine. Up until maybe a few days ago, I thought I was unable to host games that people could join, but apparently they can . Yet I still have a problem...

My friend lives at my house and he's taken the old computer I had. I have a broadband connection and go through a Linksys router. If he hosts a game, I can join it fine and so can others and all is dandy. But if I host a game, he can't join. A few of my other friends can't join either. I have forwarded ports, and disabled the XP firewall and my antivirus firewall when trying to host so he can join but it's always a "no go".

Any tips? I'm getting frustrated because it'd be more convenient if I could get a game going that he could join once in a while. Thanks everyone.

You've definately forwarded the ports to YOUR computer (and only yours, not your friends)?

It just sounds like they're forwarded wrong...

Well I have my ports forwarded the same way the ones forwarded on his comp are (I forwarded those also a long time ago).
