If you have, for example, a Ruger, change to the secondary weapon, and pick up another Ruger. Now you've got 2 Rugers. If you throw away one of the 2 Rugers now, both are gone. Often the guns are "jammed" then, too. This doesn't happen everytime you pick up twice the same weapon, but if it happens, it's just anoying.
