Known problems of Soldat Dedicated Server 1.2 Beta:
(these will be hopefully fixed in the next version)

- crashing on start with error message
"Exception EInOutError in module soldatserver at 0808CC8E"
Solution: change Logging=1 to Logging=0 in soldat.ini, this will disable of course file logging

- debug messages on client "bad packet ..."
Just ignore them now.

- Random kicking for "possible cheat"
This is a mean bug that happens on some systems. Might be connected with the bad packets bug, so when I fix that this will get fixed. If you run the server on Windows better use the normal in-game one now.

- Clients with routers or firewalls with open ports can't join server
Please wait for the next version of server.

Good to know that these bugs are known and will possibly be fixed soon(?).

dedicated server enabled. cant join

I get this error when i connect to my friends server, and when my fren tries to connect to my server. Both of us are not in lan we're trying to play internet game. No routers or firewall. Ip was typed correctly.

When will the server randomly crashing bug be 'known' ?

If I run the server in background, the server will be useless in a couple of minutes, 'cause u join, and can't move, all the players stay in their base... but if I let the shell open, it worx..

mat: Try disabling logging.

its a big piece of work what must be done to make the dedi servers working

michal i respect u coz there a so damn bugs but uve never given up

i think we all together can help u a little bit with testing new server versions like i did before ;)

I am waiting the final version to open other servers for my portal (www.soldat.com.br). I wait that in briefing it has left...
At the moment I am with two opened servers, a CTF and another DM.
With the final version I wait to be able to open more 4 servers! ;)
Some date for release of the final version?

Michal: I read that part of the forum, logging is disabled...

I seriously hope this issue is addressed soon. It's definitely one of the most crippling bugs of Soldat.
