well I think its a bug because you hear the grenade bouncing mad around and get up..

hmm. i think the map creator made it like that on purpose, because of the special structure of polygons there. or it might be because the dumb map maker only makes triangle polygons. :O

i think it's wanted that this is possible. Because, why should this hole be there for no reason, it doesn't even look good. So I think it's a trick, possible by a bug ;)
