I'm having trouble getting Soldat to properly work on my computer. At first, it didn't even start without freezing prior to using the Force Software troubleshooting option. Now, it runs fine and dandy till the actual game - at which point it plays as if I was trying to get it running on an archiac Windows 3.1 machine.
I'm running Windows ME (what I commonly blame my problems on) on a 1.2 Ghz, 384 MB machine with some generic soundcard (running SoundMAX stuff) and a eGe-Force 4 64MB card.
I've played around with the Setup options, turning things off and tuning things low, disabling this and that, but nothing seems to actually make any effect. The problem specifically is that it plays obnoxiously slow (the music plays fine) - to the point where it takes me some time to actually move the curser to the Exit to Menu (it takes a few clicks to actually get it to register as well).
