if you got a hat/helm, can you take two héadshots befor you die??

hmm i got a barret shot and my helmet fell off... nothing happened in my hp bar... a very lucky shot...

helemets in wars were never meant to stop bullets(unfortunately), they were basically used for shielding against grenade shrapnel

Helmet don't change any thing. But when you got a head shot, you have 20% more dmange. Sometime you kill popele with 3 ruger shot. That is because you hit enemis feet not head.

if in real life you were wearing a helmet...and some guy shot you with an pistol right in the head....do you really think the helmets gonna stop the bullet from goings straight into your forhead?!!?!? I DON'T THINK SO...dumb asses these days

When your health drops below a certain point, you lose your hat/helmet. It doesn't protect you.. it's just for the look.

The helmet doesn't fall off when the health falls below a point.

BTW the helmet protects against one shot from a machinrgun.

In reply, yes, they do stop bullets. the military helments provided(assuming theese are the same as the ones given in USMC basic training) will stop up to and including a 5.56mm NATO round ( .223 for everyone else , and some shrapnel protection from fragmentations of explosives. The problem with most of them lies in the fact that most military/paramilitary organizations these days rely on the slower, but far more powerful 7.62mm ( .308 ) round. So that in mind, the deagles,mp5,steyerAUG,and the ruger77, to some degree ( it fires a .243, slightly bigger than a 5.56 nato round, somthing akin to a 5.54Ru ), the soccom, and combat knice ( if assuming it's a head shot) are null and void as far as head shots go..... Just thought I'd put in my 2 cents, not that anyone wants it....[:D]

IF Barret bullet or other comes, Helmet is as good as hat. but i think that there`s scrape shots, that makes damage, but very little.

IF helmet affects bullets damage, why in hell there`s "nothing on head" option.

And how would that jaunty little bowler hat stop a bullet?
Helmets are as much use as the dog tags and gold chain. Or a chocolate teapot filled with lice.

I don't even try to make headshots i just shot at the guy.. lol.. usally dies with 3-5 hits... UNLESS lag interfears... (and thats usally often)

I don`t try to shoot to head. IT`s too small. You have very good luck if you hit head when you want.
Helmet or hat, they are only ornaments!!!

I only aim for the head on static people, although I use deagles so it's usually a 2 hit kill anyway...

Helmets suck, punkhair rulez... (I´we used it since 1.0.5)

its all about the 2 hit ruger skill kills

helmets CAN deflect bullets tho... just not when they're shot straight on...

I really don't see the difference with wearing a helmet or no helmet, if you get a headshot from a berret you're dead and from a ruger, again the same story there's no difference to me.
Also Dreds are cool, but punk's bettah.
