Yeah, Hitman didn't give him any last night.

(Sorry for the off-topic flaming but I couldn't resist)

I used to run Soldat on Win98, so I don't see any reason the Dedicated server won't.

Set the admin password from soldat.ini Then make shortcut like 'soldatserver.exe adminpassword'
adminpassword = your admin pass you set to soldat.ini

Worked with 98 for me

i made a batchfile that runs theserver with a password
the line is

soldatserver -test

i have also set the password in the ini file to test i think it is a socket or net error i will post a link to a screenshot of the error message when i can acess the server computer next

Looks like some file is missing. The folder you installed in looks strange change it's name to 'soldat' like c:\soldat maybe that will help.
If not maybe try disabling logging in soldat.ini (Logging=0).

ok i tried renaming the folder and turning logging off, still has the same error, i think i may be the file names, windows 98 only allows 8chars for file names so when i unzipped the server it renamed any file that was longer than 8 chars to a file name that is 8 chars so maybe it cant find a dll or something because it is looking for something soldatrequiredll.dll and it is now called soldatre.dll could this be thr problem?

these files are just arbitrary filaes thats i just made up
