This map is not ready for release yet. It still has to be tested and debugged. Also, I am hoping to get this thing bot pathed as well. This is my second release since my break from the scene. The first two releases were 'rebirth' and 'matches'. The third map, 'shanty', has not yet been fully tested and pathed. I am opening this topic to post a few screen shots of my next map: 'rover'.

They look cool. The shading is interesting. I'm not saying it's bad, but you have a special style. Seems to be a nice map. =).

For some reason I really like the scenery placement and the shading...dont know why its different.

Hey thanks guys. As far as the shading is concerned, rather than use any type of smoothing tool (like that professional editor), I always build a map from the base up. In other words, I lay rocks on top of one another. I imagine how the stone would lay piled up and just change colors here and there as I see fit. I rarely stick to a certain light source or try to make it look 3D. I believe soldat is a 2D game that can look great when you utilize certain color combos and polygon placing. My scenery is the most enjoyable part of designing and playing on any of my levels. I always hit the 200 mark. i am a detail freak. I also believe that the scenery, when combined with certain colliders and attributes, can really add to the realism and strategy of what is otherwise an all out fragfest. I appreciate all your comments. This last map took me about 4 hours today. Once it is bot pathed and debugged, I will quickly release it for all to play with. I am glad you seem to like it.

The sg................... Your shading is cool, althought it is wier..... I think the normal shading style look better thought. And nice scenry placement!

Anyway, I like the map. It's red. I like red things. Fix those SG's though, that floaty one just looks retarded.

Yeah i have found quite a few polygon bugs to mess with. It's coming along though. And those sg's are messed up. the problem is related to one of my polygon buygs. It won't be that way for long. Hehe. Thanks EVERYONE for your support. Sticky, how is that waypoiting coming along?

uh, i dont have this one... but shanty has a bug or two due to lack of fuel and jagged polys. I fixed the sgs for you too, and the bots MOSTLY dont fall into the pit. Yay!
