Hello, I host a dedicated soldat server and I need help! I have hosted one for almost 10 months and recently I found the need to reformat my new computer...ever since then I have noticed considerable lag in my server. People still come and don't complain so this lag must just be me. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? ..I never used to lag in my server no matter how many people there were..Thank you.

uhhh were you playing on the server? cuz that creates HORENDUS lag(i ddidn't spell that rihgt...ROFL) other wise i just don't know

yep, don't host a dedicated server and play on it on the same machine.
but you could try to set the priority of the dedicated server to High with the task manager.

Like I said, I used to play in my server all the time and never ever had a problem with lag (maybe because my comp is pimped or I had a better driver then I do now?), this just started after I reformated my computer. Thanks for the tips anyway I'll try changing the priority to high and see if that works.

Sorry, I've been playing a bit in my server and I noticed my ping is better than it was before but there is still lag. If anyone has any further ideas on why this lag is taking place I am open to suggestions. Thankyou.

hrm....do you have anything else running...have you tried to restart your router or somthing..anyway thats all i can think of...

I reformated my computer again, and it seems to be working better after I turn it up in processes. Not as well as it did before I lost my drivers the first time, perhaps my old drivers were better. If anyone knows where to get SiS video drivers please PM me, thanks.
