I was in one of the Soldat BR servers this afternoon and some guy named "Hey mon!" came in like usual, I had been in the game awhile and had a 5 to 1 k/d ratio, and when I killed him, he accused me of cheating and insisted I be vote kicked. Of course I wasn't cheating, and the vote kick didn't happen. So after some insulting, he left and came back with the name nv` KiLLBoT(1) (because I was already in the game) and my skin, minus the total black skin color. Upon his return he started hurling insults and telling me he was going to keep the name. I was flattered, by all means to have such a huge fan that they'd want to take my name! I'd just like to thank this person for being such a fan and wish him the best. But seriously folks, if you see someone with MY name running around acting like a jackass, please pay no mind to him, it's not me, and I don't want my good reputation ruined. Kamikaze Ninja was in the server when this happened, so he witnessed it all. [xx(]

Lol.... Don't worry about it, it's happened to me several times (and my clan).

It seems these things always start in DM's when the "potential imposter" is getting his ass kicked, and accuses you of cheating. It helps if you aren't an asshole and brag, but sometimes they don't care...

Bah, just ignore it. Sometimes he will spam the whole server with his taunts. It's really annoying I know, but not much can be done except for the act of banning.

i had a guy copy me like that, and tryed to get me kicked outta my own server XD he spoke polish half the time, so it was clear i didnt ban myself :P

you could make a server side program that checks the nickname with the ip (IF it's registerd) if that nickname has a different ip it's automaticaly kicked...
but this is only for your fav server and have a static ip
but it will get annoing when you play soldat at someone elses place...

Or you could make it so that people would have to register their nicks. That way, people will be forced to keep their nicks for longer lol

I never had a fan in soldat but I had about 5 people copy me when I used to play CS, Its good and funny as but gets on your nerves if they start copying you or typing what you say...
