https://gmail.google.com/

Yes, this free email service includes 1,000 MB of storage with each account

Plus, there are no pop-ups or untargeted banner ads in Gmail.

Also, Gmail supports the most popular browsers like the followings:

Microsoft IE 5.5 and newer (Windows)
Netscape 7.1 and newer (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)
Mozilla 1.4 and newer (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)
Mozilla Firefox 0.8 and newer (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)
Safari 1.2.1 and newer (Macintosh)

Gmail is not yet available yet, because it is undergoing as part of a preview release and limited test. But this is GREAT, well better than hotmail and yahoo!!

Why Firefox 0.8 and not FireBird? Use FireFox 0.9. It is weird!
It does not support opera becuz...LOL
I guess becuz it is not a free platform or it does not have a security hole others have.

Blah?

They don't "read" your email, they reserve the right to scan your mails for keywords and show advertising according to the keywords.
I dunno if they changed it, but they also reserved the right to store the emails you "delete" for whatever purpose..

I'll stick with my private POP/SMTP server + my own HDD for storage...

yeah... ive been wating for g-mail for awhile... i hope it comes out soon.. Yahoo has just upgraded their e-mail accounts... free accounts used to only be about 4 or 5 MB. Now they're 100 MB with 10MB attachment limit.

yeh, no human actually reads the gmail email, as boostey said, it scans the email for a keyword, say video games, and then the ads on the sidebar or wherever they put them, will all be on video games

i can imagine some funny stuff could happen if you send email to someone named victoria...:D

I honestly have no problems with hotmail. I only get 1 spam email about every 2 or 3 weeks the filter catches everything else and I have plenty of memory to use still.

This isn't new at all, and since it's not yet available why do you post it? Whatever...
People bragging about privacy and stuffs are just acting like morons. Think you're anonymous on the current Internet? Think again.
And finally, I'd say it's stupid and useless to give more than 50Mb storage for emails. Unless you store mp3 or ISO files (image and other raw files), that makes no sense. Emails are meant to be text only, no pictures or anything (eitherway we call that spam?).
Peace.

I just use Opera. I have my Hotmail e-mails filtered through Opera which uses the space on my hard drive to store the e-mails, and I don't have to be online to read them. Simple.

But the whole point of hotmail is that you can see your mail on any computer -_-

Take at look at blogger. That's owned by Gmail, and how I get the adress.

There was a text on the right, like the advertising in google, with "want gmail"
