Urban2.0 is the bestest evar.

It was Outcast the way I saw it. Most people will say it was Outcast and you will propably go with the majority. Now someone can lock this topic :)

Post 2 : Teh donnie was an admirable opponent back then when i was actually good :o. I remember him winning 40:38 on his server with meh having 100 ping. That was the only duel i had with him :o.

back when i just started i remember Outcast still having his skills...
back then i would say best player were Outcast, SuperKill, koil, Urhos and Donnie...
then Outcast stopped playing, SK moved to sv and eventually disapeared, Urhos went to the army or something and well... Donnie was still there...
anyway, on the other side i would say fabmanx and TFS must be the best american players i played with... and well, blan was always fun to play with...
still, best player i think must be koil. best attitude in the whole damned community.

This is all a matter of opinion and who you have played... If anything, the best player from when I was playing was easily anyone from CnS.... They we're a lot more ahead of the game than what I saw...

I think WormDundee has the best answer though, you can't say who the best player is. The same goes for who is best with which gun, because there are so many players in the Soldat community today that are equally skilled, and in different ways. It's almost impossible to figure it out, and basing it on your own opinion is immoral.

First of all I'd say that Discussing this kinda make ssoldat less fun, CoZ if U allways focuse all your energy into beeing the best then U gonna have less fun ! Thats my experiece alteast.

Second of all I'd like to say that I'm a average player and happeh with that. I have mah Good days when I pawn most ppl and I have my bad days when I go 2 bed instead of playing.

Third, IF I HAD to choose som1 and nominate them as "The best soldat player" It would be 1 of the 1.05b 1337s Because IMO as the versions has gone up the skill requerments has gone Down.

Both DD and Outy prolly would pawn me.. I dun care. as loong as they pawn me in a good, honerably and decent way, Outy even thought me how to use the M79 better. By decent way I mean that they pawn me because they are more skilled then me and not because I lag like hell and they camp or in any other way the match is uneaven on any other then skill basis.. If I loose 30 - 1 Its still a GG imo.

Doggfather... I used to pwn you as a mobile barretard. Prolly couldn't any more though. The name I've never seen come up is Tribal. He's the best player I have ever played with, so I dunno if he matches up to Outcast, but he's the best I've ever seen.

I'm with Noddy. He has some good points. That and the fact that I'm not such a great player either. :) There are players that give me a sort of fear, as if saying that if I get near them, I'll be slaughtered. Those are the kind of players I respect.

Edit: I find it kind of funny and annoying how half of the posts here belong to people who say they are best, and another fourth of the posts are spam. Hmm...

thing is, in 1.2, every noob can be good.
i said it many times, now there are lots of good players, and what a surprise: all of them use automatic weapons.
and truly, all these 1.2 automatic gunners, are nothing like the ones in former versions, in this version, all i see about these "ass kicking players" is that they spray around with a gun towards the way without even aiming/trying to kill anyone, they simply spray around and kill everything because even if you want it or not, you will always get cought in some cross fire.
therefore, i lost almost all my respect for automatic guns in this version, and mainly to the ones using them and believing themselves so good because of it.

I still think bnd and foosoft was the best players. bnd can def like no other one can, and foosoft just kill anyone with barret back in 1.0.5b. I remember I tried out for -{S:S}- back then, and I have do a tryout with foosoft, he owned my ass really bad, although I suck, but his shoots are VERY accurate. It's too bad, both are them are not around no more...

The only thing worse than auto cross fire is a barrage of Barret rounds coming from everywhere, and that just sucks no matter who you are or what you use =)

I found a spanish guy.. he joined a server I was hosting for a while, and he used an m79. Like, he knew perfectly where every shot was going to go. His name was "ronaldinho".

SPAS is a great weapon.. I don't know why I never used it before..

Barret's and autos are complete opposite. Barret aint a n00bgun but it usually is annoying 'cause skillful barreter can almost always solve the duel easily; if he hits, he owns, if he misses, he gets owned.
Anyhow It annoys me when some barreter sticks his barret into my ear and yells: "AUTO n00b!" and shots my head back to the respawn point.

Barret = N00b Gun.

PeaceMichal = n00b

The way Soldier always changes his playing style...he gets my vote.

all guns in soldat have both good and bad sides IMO the deagle is the most even on those sides. No big advantage no big downside. Guns like barret has a big + Instant kill and long [:-censored]ing range, but also a big - U miss or are up to 2+ ppl then Ure in deep [:-censored] unless U know how to wield yer secondary ! ^^ So basicly IMO none of the gun are newb guns, they only have different + and - ses.
The gun I hate the most is the Mp5 :) damn spray [:-censored] ! hehe.. anyway for all j00 "Barret-is-a-newbgun-ppl" out there.. Try it in a big server like DM 10+ And dont camp. Use it as a normal weapon !! Most of U are gonna get ownt. Thats another thing... Camping:

Marbire is very skilled, and definately up there in the charts, but I have doubts about him being the absolute best. Holy Sabre was never all that good. He's skilled, but probably at my level. That's why he was cut from AoA. lol

Well, most people who I have played in SCTFL all the way from the first have been very skilled at one time so no-one can be the best player of all time you know. it's like Pro gaming in say StarCraft or Counter Strike there is always someone out on top of the so called best from [red]Nada in StarCraft to nesba in Counter Strike no-one can be THE best there is always someone out there better. So really I don't know, could be anyone in the leagues or someone who has not been found and not proporly trained.

I'm not interested in SC, so I don't know who's the best. But the best German in WarCraft3 is mTw.tak3r.

In Soldat it's almost the same. The best 2on2 Players, are not always the best 1on1 players, and the 1on1 players aren't the best 2on2 players. So you'll never know who's the best.
