In the map editor should ne able to tell it when and at what start points to make parachutes... and if they even be created

just put them 2 inches or more above the ground, and theyll have chutes.

yeah i know you should be able to say if they should hace chutes, like if its in space you dont want parachutes

Could be a good idea...no need for chutes if the fall won't do any damage. But then again, the idea of a way to detatch from the chute has already been brought up if I'm not mistaken..not the same as your idea, I realize, but it achieves the same end.
