Well, I can say bye bye to my laptop. The other day I spilt milkshake all over my laptop, and it's pretty much [:-censored]ed. I opened it up, tried to clean everything out, used a hover, paper towels, cue tips, but it just doesn't start up.

I'm gonna call Dell tomorrow and see how much it's gonna cost to fix it, unless I can come up with some feasible story and get them to fix it for free, which I doubt. I'm just hoping my Hard drive hasn't been damaged, all my stuff, work, music, everything is on it...

I think hd doesnt damage such easily, but the motherboard might be damaged due its electronical components without cover..

electronic components are pretty sensible for liquid (milkshake is almost)

Well, I called them up and they are gonna send a new AC adopter, because it doesn't start up, and they think that, that might be the problem, assuming the battery is dead. I haven't told them about the milkshake, and they said that if that doesn't work they'll send out an engineer to rebuild the whole thing. If that doesn't work, they'll just replace the Laptop, and it's all for free, as long as they don't discover the real cause of the problem ;)

I've pretty much cleaned that thing out, and there's, I hope, no trace of milkshake, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Get into the pharmacy and buy Isopropylalcohol (called like that in germany) they sell it freely cuz you can't drink it (at least i wouldn't recommend that to you).

Pharmacy alcohol has more ethilic alcohol than isopropylalcohol
