When I try to play online, it comes up with a box that says: Dedicated server option enabled. Can't Join.
Am I being stupid or something???

Apparently you are staring soldat in dedicated server mode. Are you clicking on the shortcut that says "soldat dedicated server"? I would advise you to right click on the shortcut you are using, go to properties, and make sure it doesn't say -dedicated after soldat.exe.

Yes you are stupid.
Solution:
- Go to Soldat directory and find the file soldat.ini
- Then open it with notepad and scroll down to where it says [NETWORK] as the heading (use the Find function in notepad if you can't find it)
- Under [NETWORK], find Dedicated=1
- Simply change the number '1' to '0' and save and exit
- Now you can play online
