You know the leavemsgs ingame Soldat, there are 2 of em.

"XYZ has left the game"
and
"XYZ disconnected"

The first one normally means, that the player left the game on purpouse, so he pressed ESCAPE and then clicked "Exit to menu". The second one normally means things like sudden connection loss etc.

Now I would like to know, if "XYZ has left the game" could also mean, that the pc of this player has crashed, or his leaving has been caused by another technical problem. Or doest it ALWAYS mean, that the player left by his own decision?

I believe that the only way to get Left the game except for escaping and pressing exit is having a Wrong Map Version
All the other stuff is put @ disconnected i think..

Well, sometimes it's important to know if someone left a game on purpously or if it was because of a bug or some sort of problem. Think about cw's etc..

Aye, KnOt is right. T'was cause of an ESL 1on1 match i specced, when one of the players suddenly "left the game". If that were techproblems, the match would have been to be delayed. But actually I was quite sure he left on purpouse, and in such cases a player gets Penalty Points. But we werent sure if "left the game" could also mean technical difficulties.

Alt+f4 makes a left a game message.
I make newbies do it every day, so... :)
