To prevent chaos and make the difference to the other mapping forums clear, here is a guideline for postin in this forum:

What fits into this forum?
Basically, this forum is here to present your map ideas, and get opinions from the others about it. If you have an idea but can't realize it by yourself, you can present it here and ask the mappers if someone would like to take over for you.

Of course, you can also post requests for waypointing and scenery. In this cases dont post the map into the "New Maps" Forum before, but open a topic here with a title like " needs waypointing", "Scenery request for " etc. As soon as you have got what you need, and the map is finished that far, the topic will be moved into the New Maps forum. If it isnt moved, but should be, feel free to PM me.

Also if your map is in a very early stage or your idea is not complete, you can get suggestions from others, what you could do with it.

So this place is meant to be a platform to share your creativity, share your ideas and find ppl to realize them.

As soon as a map is finished in its concept and in a playable stage, it might be posted into the New Maps forum.

Concerning topic titles and behaviour, the rules here are the same as in the New Maps forum.

Feel free to add rule enhancement suggestions.

Well, if the map is an idea and you haven't started working on it, you can't post screens. But when you have started making it, yes, screens are essential.

No, but try to describe your idea as detailed as possible. It would also be helpful if you posted a sketch of how you imagine it to look (basically), but that is not a "must".

PS: Nice one, Stalky [:D]

Even if you haven't started working on the map, it would be a good idea to draw out a sketch or a thumbnail, either in Paint, or on a blank sheet of paper. Save/scan and post it here, in your own topic. I'm sure people would give you important ideas/comments. That brings me to my next point. PLEASE DON'T FLAME OR GIVE REALLY CRAPPY SUGGESTIONS! [:D]

That is all I have to say, and very nice job with this whole gig, Diable. [;)]

All good, I don't think it's necessary to lock this, after all he wants our suggestions.

I thiink that if you request a map, it should be described in complete detail, and come with pictures.

Pictures/sketches are good, but not a must. And if the idea is in an early stage, its almost impossible to draw a useful sketch.

You can't record demos of maps and put them online, because people actually need the map file to view them...you can record a demo then record it with Fraps and edit it up and put that online, though.

People don't like simple demos...
