i saw the movie 'predator' yesterday, but this was the first time i saw it after knowing about soldat (or, since 2 years ago).. and i just noticed some of the bots are names after the soldiers - dutch, sgt mac, billy, poncho, blain..
also some quotes are taken from that movie, like:
*if it bleeds, we can kill it
*i aint got time to bleed
*i aint scared of no man
*you're one ugly motherf*cker
*i'm here!! kill me!! do it now!!!
[and some more]

also this movie had some sort of imagination to soldat - minigunner, m79er, ak, minimi, basiclly anything but barret ;p

other quotes like "i eat green berrets for breakfast" and "you're a funny guy, i like you" are taken from another movie that arnold schwartzenegger (sp!!) played in, where his daughter is being kidnapped by some ex-member of his millitary squad.

so could it be that soldat is actually based on arnold's movies ? ;P
