for the mapmaker how do u make ground and stuff, better yet is there a manual for the mapmaker or anything like that.

A manual comes with the download. It's a file called 'Help', which might be a clue.

You might want to head over to the SML site, they have good tutorials for making maps there, unfortunatly, the website is down at the moment.
