A couple of months ago I fancied finding out where folks come from to get to these forums, so I started logging referers for each visitor

oh yeah, 200+ from my site, http://ultimate13.dynu.com:6080/ aka

205/15,200 = 1.3% of my visitors come to the forums through it.

I think there are only two registered girls for this forums.

One was a player of the game.

Thing is though, how many CLAIM to be a girl? I mean... Fab prances around in a pink tu-tu, that doesn't mean he's got the right parts for it.

hypothetically speaking, if i were to browse to the forums after looking at porn like 3 times a day from the SAME site, would it record everytime i came here? Or just once per IP address? And there is no way of finding out who came from where, right? *cough*. Anyhoo, it is neat.

Nope, they are p0rn web masters who forge the referer then visit sites, there by getting into web logs etc. I think they are hoping it increases their search engine placing by showing that other sites link to them. All in all very sneaky.

And that leaves us with the fact that:
Do not underestimate the power of the p0rn sites.
