K6-III 400 Mhz, 256 Mb RAM, Voodoo 3 3000 AGP, AOpen AX59PRO

Fullscreen: 178.6 fps
Windowed: 227.3 fps

It all depends on which settings are enabled and which not...

Ninja, several reasons:
XP sux, it eats more resources than win98
I dont use stupid resource eaters like skins, firewalls or antivirus
AMD rox.
3DFX rox
voodoo 3 is optimized for 3DNow! instructions
Soldat options to the minimum and vsync off

I had seen that my amd is 10 times faster than a P3 533 in a type of 128bit encryption/decryption, and it is 15% faster handling MMX instructions

3DNow! are the instructions that use AMD from K6.
For voodoo 3 you can turn sync off downloading a tweaker like V3OC2400.ZIP (Voodoo 3 overclocker of Gary Peterson) which allows you that option. I think there should be something similar for voodoo 2.

Everyone with 60 fps... you all have v-sync on.

I downloaded this cool tweaker program, and I turned off V-sync, BUT...
soldat won't run with my voodoo 2, or I dunno: I get a blank screen instead of the menu.
Any way to solve this?

Turn off all graphic improvements, specially antialiasing, turn off intro.
Try another directx, either 8.1 or 90b should work
Try another drivers for the card. The best ones for me are the ones that came with the card

hmmm, what can i say? Did this happened always? What is your OS and computer? Remember that XP has problems with 3dfx

I have win 98, AMD-k6 400 mhz, 128+64ram (-8mbyte shared for Trident Blade video card) and Voodoo 2.
And yes, I never could play soldat with voodoo :(

Oh, you were the one with integrated video. I think that the problem may be there. What is your motherboard? Go to bios and make sure that the trident card is disabled... can you play other games that need dx8.1 or more? I tell you once more to get other drivers www.voodoofiles.com. As a LAST resource you could try a bios update

I can only get 85 fps because it doesn't seem possible to turn off v-sync with an intel integrated crappycard. If anybody can confirm this, post in the topic I made in the help/bugs forum.
