N1nj@ you dont have XP? Becasue I downloaded it and it said

"Windows Media Player Download
Setup detected that you are running: Windows XP"

but at the bottom it says

"on Windows XP-based PCs and the widest choice of portable devices."

so I would assume that you could download it if you have a different type of Windows just you might not have as many features

i just happen to have mediaplayer cuz it came with the service pack

i dont use it, i use winamp and DivX Player

And on topic. I don't really care because i use only winamp.

Every Windows Media Player after version 6.4 sucks imho. Bloated piece of DRM "quality software".

and I dont have windows XP...and i also get this when I try to download WMP 10...but they wont let me

i use windows media player, i dont see why everyone's so anti about it. what's wrong with it?

I use VLC player mostly...since lately alot of movies are shaking a bit in my bsplayer, bit enough to annoy..but they run fine in VLC...though i have problems with subtitles.
