Transform (in the menu bar on the top) / Amplitude / Amplify
I don't know if you can use that option in the Trial Version. Maybe you should get a full version. Otherwise you could use the Audio Recorder ( %SystemRoot%\System32\sndrec32.exe ; or in the Start Menu under Programs / Accessories) that is built in in Windows. It is very simple and offers a possibility to increase the volume (it has a lame 60s record limit that is ugly to bypass, so I use CoolEdit).

Maybe your Recording settings were not right? You have to check Stereo Mix... Reread the tut to see it.

Rhombus

i checked stereo mix.

Alamo
September 30, 2004, 5:38 pm
Did you push it up to the max?

Rhombus
September 30, 2004, 6:33 pm
Lol I did something stupid I'll try again now (yes I did put it to max)

EDIT: Got good news, and I got bad news. The good news is that the sounds work, so I can continue my XIII mod, and after that my fallout 2 mod. The bad news tho, is that the sounds are lowzy, so I have to find out what dB I have to use.

Load an original sound, look at the amplitude and put the amplitude of your sound around that level. VoilĂ !

Just load a sound from soldat, and you will see it has to be 6.08 dB. Just record it from JO and make it 6.08 dB, and it should work fine.

i start record, start JO, shoot s few times, quit JO, go to CoolEdit and stop the record, play it...i have to listen VERY carefully to hear a goddamn thing, and to make the sound lauder...where?
how can i make something 6,08 dB?

does anybody know where i can get the extractor that extracts the sounds? [8D]

Rhombus

you go to transform (in adobe audition its effects) >amplitude> amplify then you see a slider with a number next to it (thats in adobe audition, dunno how it it sin cooledit) type 6.08 there and press OK.

You do know that the dB is all about the sound you are editing? For example barrett is way louder than ak.

Rhombus
October 1, 2004, 6:25 pm
