Anyone talk about moments of being in "the zone" so to speak? I havent played in a long time, but i recall moments when I was god-like... mainly from sheer luck, but still its a rush.

I've been in 'the zone' a few times, but that is all I get, I have my good days, and they're balanced out by bad ones.

What is 'the zone' supposed to be? :)

When I get in "the zone" With my barret, I never miss a target :P

This has only happened like 5 times...and lasted for maybe 10 minutes...

Tough shots too, not easy ones.

Same here. I never missed a target with my m79 and i was just uber good.

This happens to me all the time. My instincts usually kick in when im m79in' and knifin'. It is truely a soldat zen-like experience. =]

1.1.5 was my best time also =). Only person I played that beat me was outcast.

Egh, sometimes happens to me too, to bad it's barely on teh passworded servers..but yeah, it makes your mood go sky high when you make a multi-kill x2 with a ruger, 2 grenades and a chainsaw in normal mode on arena3...

For some reason I always get in my "zone" in matches when we're on Laos... It's like my ruger is an aimbot or something. Feels so good.

My zone is when I play with Minimi and Knife. I just hop around, shoot everyone with my Minimi and every knife hits it's target, no matter how tough the shot :)

My Zone is when I have LAW and AK, and I hit the target with a LAW every single time. I just instintively fire, I don't even need to aim, I just move my mouse upwards, and my finger would automatically fire at the right time. I've also held off 5 people at the same time with an AK when I was holding the flag at Viet.

if i havnt played for a while and i enter a server i get into a zone more often than if ive been continuously playing for a while

i used to be in the zone. i could blind shot with my eyes actually closed, and stuff. but then i passed into a period of not playing soldat (damn comp troubles). i lost my edge. now i'm significantly suckier. grrrr..

theres probably some scientist who's discovered how to achieve gaming-zen ...if only i could be arsed to google for it.

I had a real uber good zone-moment when I first played in internet with 1.2.1

heh, I usually have a zone moment after I watch some movie with lots of gunfights 'n stuff in it.

I was in 'The Zone' Yesterday, on ctf I killed about 10 people with less than 10% health with the Mp5, chainsaw, and a few 'nades.

I was like, "'Ave it you Barret/M79 hogging skillless losers"

Mp5 is way more over powered than m79/barret.

That's something I don't get, is how people whine about the blastback from SPAS but nobody bitches about MP5. That lil [IMAGE]er is like an uber-shotty.

My zone is whenever I have a M79/Ruger + Knife.

ah 'the zone' what fun times, my zone is ak in a <x> on 1 team battle or a ctf game.

AK and knife......perfect flow has been achieved....

I usually have several 5 minute zones. I just enjoy the MP3 list and my body goes full automatic with the M79, It's bliss.
