Just my oppinion on this.

the /shutdown command has to be the most useless command for any admin to use. If your hosting your own game you just leave to shutdown, and if your paying for one you dont shut it down.

Not only is it useless but it can also cause problems. Paying for a server myself just makes them all the more painful. In the past week i have had my server shutdown on two seperate occasions and a few of the better servers in australia shutdown via the use of some of the newer hacks and this command.

I personly would like to see this admin command removed so i dont have to contact the server company that often to get the server back up and running.

I finish with a quote from a stupid admin:
quote:
/say anyone home
Shutting server...
the end
Admin disconnected.

If anyone can bring up anything useful about the /shutdown command i would like to hear it.

Not funny, DT.

Yeah, you're right, it doesn't do much at all, best to just remove it... =/

Yes, the best thing that could happen would to have hack protection.
But as we are unlikely to get that, the command should be removed asap.

We're likely to get it, just only in the next version... I'm imagining that it's harder for Michal now, so just give him time. -.-;;;
This would be good as well as more protection against it...
