I have a usb dsl modem. Do I need an ethernet one to play ps2 online? Im with bt broadband so it shouldn't be much of a problem to swap to get an ethernet one...should it?

isnt there a modem especially made for the PS2, i thought you had to plug it into the back of the console, i suppose other modems would work too (ethernet modems ofcourse).

not quite sure though, ive got an XBOX.

yeah i bought the 20 pound adapter thing for ps2 and its on. But the cables dont fit in my usb modem so i thinks i need ehternet..

I believe you have to use ethernet.

Did you try attaching it to the usb ports at the front of the PS2?

No, I didn't *looks*. Dunno what will fit in there so i'll try every damn cable iv'e got !

you must have the ethernet to be able to play online

actually, i just use my dsl line, and it worked, they even have a plug-in thingie for aol.

but than you dont have to pay?...or you do?
