I talked to the gamespace admin who is now back from holidays. The server is now back online. It may crash a bit for a while due to cheaters but it will eventually be protected. I've got some work to do [:)]

Damit, I wanted Gamespace! Grrr, now I'm angry, if I knew how to program anything, even a hello world, I would try and make an anti cheat of some kind, but I am stupid, so I will leave that to you, now put a rush on it!

If you don't know don't worry. I'm glad to hear that GameSpace is coming back as it was the main server I used to play on.

Its not special with cheats or anything, it is just a server that usta have a reasonably big community that regularly played.

yeh gamespace could hold more den 20 ppl in one server with minor lag =)

Yah, it didn't last long until a cheater killed it. I'm not completely sure if the gamespace admin will start it again with something like my software or if he is gonna wait for v1.10. I'm trying to influence that decision twords now rather then wait [;)] but I dont wanna pester.

how to write a hello world program in quick basic:

1: make a new qbasic program
2: add the line
print "Hello World"
3: use Shift-F5 to run program
4: shout 'w00t' or something simmilar

Gamespace is running similar software to the -{S:S}- servers.

yeah, but when i tried it, there were 2 cheaters and the only map that was running was ctf_death.

Gamespace is a crappy server IMO. I know a lot better ones, but I don't want to say them so they don't get overcrowded. IMO the best servers are the ones without a huge following, just a medium one.

Everyone has different "good servers" since a large part of lag is caused by distance.

BTW, I know its stuck on ctf_death, gotta get that fixed.

nice code there Ardaen, doesn't do anything though.. Anyway, Gamespace is one of the best servers for me.. (Its Australian too!)

Yup. My code is buggy. As I've posted previously, the remote admin code some servers are using is very buggy. Taking those down is no special trick.

No I'm not giving up, making it is fun and good for learning. It just means no guarentees [:)]
