I can't tell what type of sound card I have, its not in my system information, I have cracked open my computer and can't see anything... it would be great if I could get a hardware detector program but I don't know where a good one is at, can anyone help me?

Aida32 should do the job or maybe SiSoftware Sandra.

first of all, what is the problem you are having?
second, does your sound plug in right near your parallel and USB ports in the back of the computer, or does it plug in lower down?

you probably have sound integrated on your motherboard (on-board)
check what motherboard you have

Well since my computer was already open I jsut looked in and saw DDR 266, it had a logo by it it was PC in some font...
btw noob its was porn I was banned for, not sex

Well I get this found new hardware popup everytime I turn my computer on, multimedia audio device or somehting like that is missing a driver. I just need to be able to somehow find out what my card card is.

I am still in the process of fixing my problem, I had to save the file piece by piece via floppy disk and run downstairs then run upstairs load it onto my computer then format then run back upstairs load the disk and repeat... now I have to do the same with my driver, then comes winamp, then maybe nero :(
