I know project X is a .wmv file but when i open it in Media Player it wont play the video. The sound plays fine, but the actual visual bit is missing. It says I might need the latest codecs installed, but I'm not sure which ones I might need. Does anyone know which codecs are required to view this?

Sorry for deleting 2 unmoderated replies, but they both said you'd have to get the DivX/XviD codecs, but that's just not true.

ProjectX uses WMV3 / Windows Media Video 9. You probably use Windows 2000 with an older Media Player or something like that.
You can download the codecs there: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/format/codecdownload.aspx
those are only the codecs, not the players.
You will have to choose between a package for Windows Media Player 6.4 and 7.1

If all that doesn't help you, tell me your OS and the version of your Windows Media Player.
