Well, more like just punishment. My excessive addictions to Soldat lans resulted in me and my friends recieveng Saturday detentions, and the neverending hatred of our administrator (Mr. Hook) for hosting lans on the school computers. It was well worth it.

Hahaha, gj sir. Sometimes I think the computer labs at school were set up for that sort of thing.

I remember 20 people LAN parties with Quake 2 in my school. It's hell of a fun, especially when the teacher tries to erase the game every day and people keep on thinking of different ways to bring the game to school. It were those days when I was thinking of making a game that people would play on LANs and have trouble :).

I've played Quake 3 on LAN at school. Teachers of course tried to delete it but it was quite hard to find. Something like
Program files -> Paintshoppro -> Data -> Special
:P

Yeah, I used to play Quake 3 and 2 on LAN in school as well. It worked really well until evreyone in class started playing. Kinda hard to keep it secret when we're screaming across the room. I think out teacher joined in once too (some guy joined who we couldn't indentify).
I don't dare do that now, since they started cracking down by banning our logins. I NEED my account.

they have mass Half-Life and Quake matches, at my school, all under the supervision of the tech club moderator. he doesn't care. in fact, i'll put it this way... his 'initiation' for tech club is showing the new member a pic of crap eating asian girl porn.

not surprising that he doesn't care about the video games. : /

that really sucks, lol. back in 7th grade, there was half life on 3 computers side by side. we never did our work in that class but we still got a B. :P

I remember last year how Lazehboi and some other kid brought Roms to school and put them on the school server.
They couldn't find it because we hid the folder, but some [IMAGE]er (whom I wont mention) forgot to "re-hide" the folder and....we got caught ;_;
