I know how it could happen. More than 50% of Americans voted for Bush and he won more than the required 270 electoral votes (will probably end up with 286). The voting system of an electoral college is just fine and didn't matter anyway since Bush won the popular vote as well as the electoral vote.

Well, since at times, I'm a rabid conservative.... I pose one question to all of you, who seem to hate him, just for the sake of discussion, I guess.... What was so great about Kerry? what did you like about his polocies? what makes kerry an advantage over bush? ( barring any opnion-based answers, I'm looking for factual analysis here, not " well bush is dumb", or "bush is ugly" )??

Discuss.

Here's an idea. Maybe the fact that Bush won should'nt be gruffed about by all of the young cavaliers in this room (forum). Maybe we should swallow our personal grievances in the name of democracy and realize that he won fair and square by a means that is by no means foreign to America. Kerry conceded before the election was called anyway, so it would seem that he has gracefully accepted defeat.

His followers should adhere to such a dignified example rather than dwelling on the example set by the previous candidate.

If anyone still has a problem with Bush serving another term, than perhaps they should not ask themselves and others like them, but someone of a more objective and learned position as to why it is that they feel that way.

Just some humble advice from someone who would like to keep the peace and prove that being Texan does not necessarily make you a dumbass. Thanks.

Democratic strategist Elaine Kamarck said the idea of not changing horses in midstream helped Bush win.

"I think it probably was the desire of people in uncertain times to stick to the person they know best ? that is always an incumbent advantage," she said. "There's a lot of insecurity about the world in which we live today ? inertia does win, particularly when people aren't really sure what the world's going to look like." - fox news

I just hate Bush more than i hate Kerry.

Heres an example of a flip-flop for all the conservative extremists. I did support Bush at one time, but then, i did some research, read about what kerry supported and opposed, learnt the effects bush's term has had on this country, then i supported kerry. and honestly, i dont see how anyone who does the research could possibly support bush.

Kevith I will fight you tooth and nail that the electoral college is a system that is far out of date and is anything but "just fine". Though, you are right in terms of this election. Bush won the popular vote too.

i love it how european mother [:-censored]ers hate bush so much.
i wonder why...? is it because he has the balls to do things without asking the UN, or in case of the europeans the EU? is it because he made your soldiers go to iraq? why the hell do you want an army if they wont see any action? [:-censored]en [:-censored]ers. anyway, im glad he won, im glad most of the mother [:-censored]ers here can't vote, or they would've chose a quiter for president
oh look at that! his ideals were so strong, that he quited even before the votation was over. what a pussy.

go Bush, he rocks.
reason everyone hates him: he is a president, and he also does sometimes.
normaly presidents only speak and do nothing, woopeedoo.

the thing that pisses me off the most: [:-censored]en european countries going against the war in iraq, going against everything the US does, just coz they are so [:-censored]en jealous of them being the strongest nation in the whole [:-censored]en world while they are a bunch of poor little countries that wouldnt exist if the US wouldnt've helped them in the wars

You say we're all rednecks, you say we're all stupid...I say you should follow your own advice and start using your brain, you damn hypocrite. What makes you so much better? Although with the way you're acting, it doesn't speak too highly of Finnish people. You look at a couple of Americans and assume we must all be rednecks...so can I look at you and assume all Finnish people are stuck up assholes who are quick to judge and dictate what's best for people?
