Fairly useless since you can just kill yourself to give others flag. Mm, do you think there should be a specific button for it? Do you have a suggestion for that?

I think it's just fine as it is right now :)

a button would be nice, but what I mean isn't just dropping it, give it a dash, so it sort of swoops a little forward, in the angle your aim is, and then your teamie comes and grabs it and you get molested by the other team, but for the team!

It would be nice if the throw weapon button would throw the flag for you...
when you throw it it would go forward like the knife.. just not as far or fast
to me that sounds easy to implant...

Yes, I had asked for a 'drop the flag' button long ago.. 'Perhaps in the next version' .. :)

As Ville said, it's been suggested a million times already but it was discussed explicitly in the beta testing. Michal said making it a button would be hard to do, but that a command (/dropflag?) might work. I think it got put on the back burner though as he was trying to fix bugs.
