Ok...Im a bit curious... i did play in 1.1.4 but only for like a week and i never used chainsaw then i quit until next version...I ALWAYS hear about ppl saying chainsaws were so powerful in 1.1.4...can someone please tell me why it was so powerful..

cause it has unlimited ammo, and poeple camp at the flag...

O_O 1.1.4 chainsaw was god... i think the spawning was different then which made it even more godlier...

spawning for the most part in ctf maps were in 1 spot so 4 guys with chainsaws would be sitting there using the chainsaw and jumping around occassionally to get the people making breaks for it.

Those were truly dark days for the ruger kind :(

I don't know if anyone has really answered your question yet, but the 1.1.4 chainsaw had unlimited ammo so you never had to reload and it killed instantly on contact --> spawn killing n00bs' paradise. That's also the version when you couldn't throw the knife so it was basically useless in comparison.

You couldn't throw the knife but damn it was as fun as dueling with fists :) They was when knife duels weren't reduced to guys standing on the other sides of the screen throwing a knife at you.

It was insane, U enterd a n00bserver.. There were like 20 ppl there, 19 of them running round withthe monster chainsaws and slaying everything that spawnd ;D

Chainsaw became one of the most hated weapons. There was no such things as barrettards at that time. I think.

Yes... I loved the chainsaw then. It had a virtual 100 ammo that reloaded instantly.

i say add a couple of secs of inv time when you spawn and get no ammo for chainsaw...
