I know this has probably been done before, but I'd like to give it a shot and see just what everyone's running on out there. Here's a basic guideline:

Processor Name & Speed
RAM and System Resources Free
Hard Disk Name, Size, and Speed (RPM)
Video Card Name, RAM, Driver Version
Sound Card Name
Operating System(s)

So, to start it off, here's my system:
AMD Athlon XP 3000+ running at 2.2Ghz
1GB DDR400 RAM and 98% System Resources Free
Western Digital 120GB HD, 7,200 RPMs (4, 30GB Partitions running RAID 0)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB, BIOS Modded to Radeon 9800 XT 128MB, Driver Version 4.10
Integrated nVidia nForce AC'97 Audio Adapter.
Windows ME, softmodded using 98lite with countless various tweaks, running a Windows 95 Explorer Shell.

I don't want to hear any flak about my OS, lol.

Don't really know much about computers, just know that mine is an Alienware Area-51 so it's pretty goddamn good. Got like a 3.5ghz processer thingy or whatever and 512 mb of RAM. Good for Soldat, that's all I really know.

palloco
November 17, 2004, 12:30 pm
If you dont know much about computers why had you spent so much money on a computer with the suckiest relation quality/cost. I would buy a cheap PC in your case.

November 18, 2004, 7:23 am
What do you mean? I don't know much about computers, but I know that Alienware is very good because my dad had one and it was real good. So I saved my money for a year and bought one. Like I said, all I know is that it's fast, easy to upgrade, and it runs really well with the games I play. Why would I want to buy a cheap piece of [IMAGE] just because I don't know much about computers?

Intelceleron 533Mhz
64 RAM
15 GB
Intel Graphics controller manager
Sound Blaster
Windows XP

palloco
November 18, 2004, 12:49 pm
Why? Because if all you know is that it runs soldat fine, even the crappiest computer will do the same. Cheap computer does not mean [IMAGE] computer.
How much do you get in 3dmark05 and how much it costed? PM me if you dont wanna say it here.

Windows 2000 Proffesional

SDRAM?

Toumaz
November 18, 2004, 2:23 pm
Yes, that's the name - I got 64 mB SDRAM.
I tried to add in another 128 mb module of RAM into my computer, but the last empty place was broken... and the other modules couldn't be removed.

palloco
November 18, 2004, 2:56 pm
That is a PII,not a PIII... but can you run soldat with that computer?

3rd_account
November 18, 2004, 5:01 pm
2x Intel P4s at 3.0 Ghz each.
1 GB DDR400 RAM and ~60% System Resources Free
Intel Ultra ATA hard drive at 74.5 GB, 7,200 RPM
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (Omega 1.6177) 128 MB (memory clock clocked ~140%, engine clocked ~80%)
SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio
Windows XP SP2

The RAM isn't enough when I edit CDs, and the video card ain't good enough when playing games. I'm suprised it has AA.

I also play Soldat a lot via the school's terminals...

Intel Xeon at 3.2 Ghz
3 GB DDR400 RAM and ~97% System Resources Free
Some pathetic ATA hard drive at 800 MB, 7,200 RPM
No idea what the graphic card is, never checked
No audio card :P
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise

In short:
Piece Of Sh!t

In long:

AMD k-6 400 MHZ

192MBRAM
Trident Blade 3D 8mbyte(shared)
Voodoo 2 12 mbyte
4,05 GBYTE hard drive
Integrated Intel crapcard as soundcard.

People here love lying.

"In short:
Piece Of Sh!t

In long:

AMD k-6 400 MHZ"

A PC is not [IMAGE]

"Integrated Intel crapcard as soundcard."

If it is AMD it is very difficult that the motherboard has an intel chipset

3dmark05? I wish I could say I knew what the hell you're talking about. My computer cost 1900 dollars, why would I be afraid to say it here? I love my computer. It's so secksy.

EDIT: And I realize that you can get a decent system cheaply. The reason I got an Alien computer is because I wanted a fast, realiable computer with a good processor, video chipset etc etc and my dad told me to get Alien.

palloco
November 20, 2004, 9:20 am
3dmark05 is a nice way of checking the power of your computer, by showing you animations and giving a punctuation based the velocity of your computer.
http://www.futuremark.com/products/3dmark05/
As you can see it is sponsored by Alienware, so you should get a high score.
You can dowload it from http://downloads.guru3d.com/3dmark05/ or from any other place that appears in futuremark.

2,53 Ghz Intel Pentium IV
1024 MB RAM
128MB Radeon 9700
Creative SB Live!
120GB HDD
2Mbit broadband
Standard Keyboard
Microsoft Trackball Explorer
[IMAGE]
Windows XP Home SP2
17'' Sony HMD-A200 (I want an additional TFT badly)

It's a Dell Dimension 4550... I love it!

1. Don't tell me my Radeon 9700 is slowing down the comp.
2. I like my Trackball... Laugh at me, but I'm quite good with it.
