Ok i have opened the ports for map downloading. My router does not show whether it is TCP or UDP. Is that the reason why players don't seem to be able to download maps from me? Players can play on my server with no problem using the default maps. However, no one seems to be able to connect to my server to download the map when I am hosting a new map? Why is that so...?

Are you hosting a dedicated server? I think auto-map downloading only works with dedicated servers...


edit: Also, use Firefox, it has less security holes than IE. :P

people are also unable to download maps from me, even though i have all the ports open, not sure if i opened them right though, since my router config is sort of confusing.

My friend does not use a dedicated server but I still can download map from him. Whatsmore, I cant play on my own dedicated server whereas I had no problem doing so on 1.2
