First of all, very compliments for you game! Soldat is the top!
I wrote to you because I don't know why we must shut down the server and restart it if we want to change the game mode.
I didn't find any command useful to ask the server to change the game mode withou turning it off.
If there is the way to change map, can you implement a way to change the mode?
For example, if I'm in deathmatch mode and I manually set the map ctf_run, the map changes but the mode remains deathmatch! (and I can run inside the map with two flags over me at the same time :-) ...)

I think implementing this command would make soldat even better!

Good idea! I think it would be fun to switch from inf, to ctf or something.

I would like this too. i've been hosting a few private servers w/ me and my friends, but i want to switch game modes half-way, so i have to restart the server. I think this has been suggested before, but i like it.

Yeah but instead of instantly changing the game mode the server should anounce Next map game mode changing to ______ and then when the map finishes the game mod changes.
