I was just wondering what your favorite movies are. Mine are Donnie Darko, American Beauty, and Fight Club. And maybe Wayne's World.

I just watched Cowboy Bebop: The Movie ....only anime I ever found myself liking. Good stuff, very very good animation quality.

Otherwise, check out Oh Brother, Where Art Thou, a 1930's jailbreak-road-trip starring George Clooney. Made by the Coen Bros in 2001.

There are quite a few other anime movies on the same level. If you're interested check out Princess Mononoke or Grave of Fireflies, just a couple of choices. Purely for your consideration. Oh yeah...and porn rules.

The Princess Bride
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
The Truman Show
The Three Musketeers (older Michal York version, not new disney)

Those are a start.

Princess Mononoke is a sweet movie, and Boondock Saints is INTENSE. I'm pretty sure they have plans for a second one called Boondock Saints: ALl Saints Day, but I haven't found any kind of solid dates or facts about it yet.

Gladiator- Nice fights

Truman show - Imagine it was you?? Maybe it is..

Donnie Darko - hypnotised scene is a classic/very confusing but all makes sense in a strange sort of way.

28 days later - Love this movie, can just imagine being in the situation...

Americans Pies- very funny

Edix: scarface- small gangster, big gangster. Nice.

American dream? something like that, with the strange kid and his daughter run away and the sweet looking chicka is about to have sex with the dad but its her first time.. great movie aswell.

Ooh.. finally another movie topic.

Generally good movies:

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas ("This is bat country!")

Das Experiment (german movie about an experiment gone wrong (based on a true story))

Trainspotting (have a look at styx' profile)

13th Floor

In China they eat dogs (something (not) between Snatch and Pulp fiction (?))

23 (german movie about a hacker going paranoid, based on a true story too afaik)

City of God

Dark City

The Butterfly Effect (the "best worst movie")

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

just funny movies:

Chasing Amy ("Oh, he's a tracer..")

The Big Lebowski

Anything by Monthy Python

Simply the favourite movies:

Pi

Fight Club

Requiem for a Dream

Donnie Darko

Memento

Jacob's Ladder

K-Pax

Waking Life

"odd" movies:

Human Nature (awesome)

Schizopolis (at the end of the movie you will expect anything. main roles start talking different languages all of
a sudden, they invent a new language etc.- it is not unlike our DT, just more funny)

Barton Fink

Meet the Feebles (by Peter Jackson.. muppets slaughtering/[IMAGE]ing. I will never watch it again, I hope.)
Elephant (81 minutes of following a typical day of several pupils, nevermind that massacre. nice message if you got to the end)

There are a lot of movies to mention.. well, I'd be glad if anyone's going to watch any of those movies because of me, because they're all worth watching.
I'll try to get "Bad Taste" now, just because Peter Jackson's old movies are.. special.
Gonna watch Evil Dead 1 now, though.
