I don't think they're too close to the truth...well, some are great, like selfkill .. since there werent any other options :P What's really silly is U13 wasn't nominated...why? Because it's american, duh. The whole poll was only euro, even the american section...no one outside of euro soldat irc channels have ever heard of wood. He is even in a euro clan. All the votes are very biased. Urhos is not the best leader, very good and my personal favorite, but I think Spike is the best leader to have ever played soldat and he was not even nominated. #fragbait is undoubtedly the most popular channel, but that's given since it has always had the most people in it. Best all around player = knot? hahahah, he's rude and he sticks to his widdle minimi...i love him though and I voted for him...but there weren't any alternatives that i've fukkin heard of.

I was gonna vote, I even went to the forums. But since I dont know, or care to know many euros, I decided it was pointless. I think this is the way a lot of NA's felt. So the real solution is for someone from NA to make an awards forum, but everyone here is too damn lazy for that. However, with my recent decision to stop playing Soldat for at least a couple months, I might have the time on my hands. samuelclark1@hotmail.com for msn, (i'm not really on all that much), or ihatekimdarby@gmail.com for just my email. (I check it a lot more frequently) Just try either of those for any suggestions/comments. But so this is relevent, I think the awards were fair, simply because I dont know any better.

Much like any voting system, if you want to see results that you feel reflect the truth, participate.

Turns out the peeps at soldat-awards are going to go ahead and expand and improve on this despite criticisms, and we're just about to enter a new month. Sign up, and show them who really deserves recognition.

I wonder how can I cry about it when I am not even American, but it is well known that Marbire, for example, can deal with you in any way he likes. And it seems like we aren't the only ones who think that, so if you dont care, stop crying.

You know why they have well done, proper awards for things that matter like the oscars or something?

Because people know who they are voting for. How many people who play soldat know the people in them votes? Probably less than 100 out of how many? 5000+? mabey give an extra 10000?

Im fine with those awards. The votings etc. ran ok for a first attempt. And I also dont think that TomPenny manipulated things cause of liking/disliking certain people. I, personally, have a neutral position towards TP. I dont like his barretarding, but hes ok as a person as far as Ive talked with him on IRC and stuff.
Just get over such tiny conflicts, they arent necessary and not helping the community at all.

And if wood plays a lot with euros, why not? If those jealous voices think that is the reason for him being nominated -> go play with Euros too. I mean, why should both scenes be isolated all the time. It is possible to play a euro-US match under quite fair circumstances.
p-L played R7 yesterday, B2b on our server, Laos on theirs and Voland on neutral territory /(c'n's server, where the R7s had pings of 116-133 and we 80 in average). The cliche that american clans play bad (and vice-versa, I heard that many US players think the same bout euro clans) did turn out as false. R7 won against us, although quite lucky ;)
Both teams were equal, so the match could have ended in a win for p-L or a tie too.

The only true argument about the difficulties with euro-us matches is the different timezone.
